Launch of the initial phase of setting up Agri Stack in the state

Lucknow: State Agriculture Minister  Surya Pratap Shahi launched the initial phase of setting up Agri Stack. The initiative aims to provide cheap loans, high quality agricultural inputs, localized and specific targeted advice and convenient access to markets to farmers. Along with this, it will also facilitate the process of planning and implementing farmer and agriculture-centric beneficial schemes by various stakeholders of the government.

During this training program organized in the auditorium of Krishi Bhawan Lucknow,  Shahi informed that the initial phase of Agri Stack includes three basic registries which include geo-referenced revenue village map (Geo Reference Village Map), GIS base real time crop survey (Crop Son Registry) and database of farmers (Farmer Registry). The Sajra map of all the revenue villages of the state is being digitized as geo-referenced revenue village map by mapping it with high-resolution satellite map, which will make geo-referencing of each farm possible.

He said that under the Crop Sown Registry, crop survey of crops sown in all the fields of the state is being done through a mobile app developed by the Government of India in Kharif, Rabi and Zaid. In Kharif 2023, e-khasra investigation was ensured in 10-10 revenue villages of 21 districts of Uttar Pradesh and the remaining 54 districts.

Under the Farmer Registry, the farmer details of the state will be compiled in the digital infrastructure being prepared under Agri Stack. For this, the database of Bhulekh will be consolidated by the Government of India and made available online to the state. A one-month campaign is being started to prepare Farmer Registry across the state. A help desk has also been set up at the headquarters level for the successful conduct of this campaign.

Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Devesh Chaturvedi informed that from December 2024, farmer registry has been made mandatory for the installment received under PM Kisan Yojana. This will facilitate farmers in crop loan, crop insurance, marketing at minimum support price and will make it easier to get the benefits of various government schemes. He informed that the work of preparing farmer registry was completed on a pilot basis in Farrukhabad district, due to which 20 farmers in the district and 60 farmers in Varanasi were successful in issuing Kisan Credit Card in 30 minutes.

On this occasion, Chief Knowledge Officer and Advisor Government of India Shri Rajiv Chawla, Mrs. Manisha Trighatiya Commissioner Secretary Revenue Council, Anurag Yadav Secretary Agriculture, Director of Agriculture and senior officers of Agriculture Department and district and tehsil level master trainers for farmer registry under Agri Stack Scheme were present.
